My corns do so much pain!

Post a new topicby m123 on Sun Sep 05, 2010 9:46 pm

For some years I have two corns on and deep in my pinky toes, that are very painful.
Corn plasters didn´t work, I couldn´t get rid of the stabbing pain.

Wearing shoes gives me a hard time because of my corns, but even without shoes the pain often doesn´t stop.

Upcoming rain makes my corns go crazy, they hurt really bad for hours, sometimes for days! The constant pain is so hard to bear, I can hardly walk ...
I had my corns removed by a surgeon twice. Even though I wasn´t able to wear shoes yet, my corns were back within two weeks, more painful than before ...

It hurts so bad, what can I do about those painful corns ?????
Each step causes pain ...

Hello,

You can't surgically remove corns - they are related to pressure only. There has to be something rubbing on the pinky toes to cause the corns - most obviously footwear - most people think their footwear is OK but most of the time it is unsuitable and will be causing pressure. Do you have a wide forefoot, narrow shoes or slip on shoes - slip on mocassins are culprits because they always have a tapered toe box. Are the toes misshapen from arthritis?

You prob need a consult with a podiatrist and to bring in your selection of shoes because they will be the culprit.

Are you sure they are corns - they are not verrucas (warts)?
