Sleeping On My Back Stopped The Toothgrinding

Post a new topicby blackclouds on Fri Mar 12, 2010 9:46 am

Dear Group.

Been a grinder for a couple of years now and recently two of my front teeth showed chips.
The reason for the grinding I suspect is both stress and my wisdom teeth.
Tried the mouthguard but it just wasn't for me, it just feels extremely uncomfortable and didn't like the slobbering at all. Also the toothpaste taste that lingers in my mouth all day drove me crazy.

During the day I am also a passenger in a car on a 45 minute drive to work and as I doze off I tooth grind and I began to notice that by tilting my head back instead of forward, I stopped grinding altogether. I tried this in bed and wouldn't you know it, no more toothgrinding.

So give it a go and I hope it works out for you too, certainly much better than a toothguard.
