Two Cancers

In November of 2003, I was diagnosed with breast cancer On December 23, I had a masectomy and then began my chemo and radiation regimen. This was my daughter’s senior year and we tried to make everything as normal as possible. I was her high school counselor so every day at school I tried to act healthy even though I had a wig on and felt nauseous most of the time.
