mother of 3 survivingI am a mother of 3 small children 2, 4, and 6 and was diagnosed with bipolar disorder 3 years ago. I have been through a course of medications that if it said it had side effects, I had them. Each pregnancy acted like a catalyst for my disorder. I would feel very normal during pregnancy and then depressed for months after delivery. Re: mother of 3 survivingoh my goodness!! I read your post and can relate to EVERYTHING you said. I also am on Lamictal but my anti-depressant is Lexapro. It also seemed like my two pregnancies made my bi-polar so much more intense. With each pregnancy more intense. anyway, I realized I was bi-polar in a moment of clarity while watching a show on tv. I went through a couple meds but when I got on these (Lamictal and Lexapro), I felt like I finally was given a life because the one before was not a life, it was hell. I'm also afraid of what will happen if these medications fail. I think that if I had to go back to that life, I wouldn't make it very long. I just can't go back. Anyway, just thought I'd write a note since I saw you were on the same medicine (great stuff isn't it? NO side effects for me...Yay!!) Good luck and take care!
