Bells Palsy

Post a new topicby livingwith on Tue Mar 23, 2010 8:32 pm

I have just developed Bells Palsy only 3 days ago. It seems to be a mild form as I am told that its barely noticeable. What made me aware of it is when I brushed my teeth. I discovered that I was unable to gargle due to the left side of my mouth would not stay tightly closed. Hi Joe. On Feb. 28 I was told I had Bellls Palsy. Similiar to your situation my case was mild. I was given a steroid and an anti viral medicine which I took for the first week. I looked on the internet and many peopkle suggested vitamin B. So i took those and I have been going to see an acupuncturist. It has been a little over 3 weeks now and I am almost back to normal. I am not sure which of those things did the most good but they say staying relaxed helps. I have gone to the acupuncturist once a week and will continue to go until everything is totally back to normal. Not sure if any of this helps but I know its nice to hear what everyone else is going through. Good Luck and stay positive. Sue
