Rapid deteriorisation

After my doctor detected a heart murmer in 2003, I was dignosed with mild aortic stenosis (1.4cm). After two years, this had decreased to 1.1 cm. As I was fairly asymptomatic, I didn’t realise the “inevitability” of the worsening situation.

Hi Euan,
Shocking how fast things deteriorate. I do not know anyone or have experience with a bovine valve or non-invasive surgery but I have had open-heart valve replacement with a homograft valve. Felt great for years after surgery..got 12 years out of that valve. Wish you the best.
