My husband experienceing possable als symptomsIn January 2010 he started feeling dizzy at times, numbness in his hands cant raise his arms only to chest area. He has gradually gotten worse. He drops everything can’t button his shirt can’t hold a fork normal,he has to use two hands to try an write,and its really pretty bad. He says it feels like his hands and fingers have lidocaine in them completely numb. Re: My husband experienceing possable als symptomsMy dad's als was firmly diagnosed by a test the neurologist did underneath or on his tongue. I'm sorry I don't know the name of the test but the doctor assured us it was the most true test that could be done. Dad had all the other work ups you mentioned but the 'tongue' test confirmed his diagnosis. I hope this helps you and I wish you both the best.
