Familial cases

My family has suffered multiple cases of this dreaded disease. I have had two brothers, my only sister and the oldest son (nephew) of the family. The first case was the typical ALS symptoms of the paralysis of body before attacking the organs. The other three cases were of the Bulbar form of ALS It has made the family paranoid to any kind of symptom related to this terrible disease. Including myself.

I understand as I have lost 5 members of my family to ALS, most recently my Dad. My advice is get involved with ALSA near you, walk the walk to defeet ALS as it is empowering. There is exciting stuff happening with this disease and a cure is on its way. Hang in there.
