My Aunt Gem was diagnosed with AlS in December 1998. She passed on January 1, 2000. She lived with the disease for alittle over a year. I miss her so much because she was my best friend. I always get upset when i think that she only was given a year and there are people that were given 5 and 10 years more to spend with their family.
